Coming to a close...

WOW! This summer has flown by!!!!!! I have been everywhere this summer...twice. I feel like I never got to relax. I really hope that I do not get sick when things slow down. :(

An update...so Michael and I are officially moved in to our beautiful new house. Slugger loves the backyard. I love my bathroom with the jacuzzi tub. Michael will love the sports room that we are putting upstairs in the bonus room. I am looking at a 40 minute drive to work, which won't be a big deal. I am just so happy that I have a job. You would not believe all the people that I am going to be working with who moved to the area from Indiana just for a teaching job! I am going to be making alot more money and I am so much closer to everyone! Mom is coming to visit in two weeks because it is SOOO close!

I haven't had time to do any crocheting or knitting. After Michael's baseball games I usually wait in the parking lot for him. That is a really good time to roll the windows down and crochet. I can spin out a coaster in about 10 minutes now. :)

I now have Tennessee license plates. Cheatham County. Pretty cool. And pretty cheap.

I have been in contact with my new coworkers alot lately. I have been told that the first grade in my school has a GOOD reputation. They LOVE to work together and SHARE everything...no competition. The stimulus money has brought classroom size down to SIXTEEN CHILDREN!!!! WOWOWOWOWOWOW! Talk about AWESOME! I am extremely nervous about work, of course. But man, I am EXCITED!!!

I am about to go to dinner with my bestie!! Brittani Amber Off!!!

Poor little Slugger. He has terrible earmites right now :(((( Mommy is trying to make it better for her big boy.

Michael is still loving his job! However, I am ready for the games to be over so I can have my fiance BACK! We had a great date night last night. I made dinner and banana pudding. We watched the rest of "It's Complicated." Let me just say, "It's Not So Good!" We were disappointed. I think it may be one of those movies that they make, and then realize it isnt very good. So to get money they show all the good parts in the commercials to suck you in. :( We still do not have tv. Direct TV wont be out for another week so we have been living off of movies! I got seasons 1-5 of The Office for Christmas. So Michael and I started at the first episode. We are on disk 3 of season 3 now. LOVE THAT SHOW! I have a few seasons of the Golden Girls and Michael has Smallville. I guess we will go on to those once we finish.

As of right now, I am in Indiana. I come up every year for the Brickyard 400. Dad and I are going to hang out and swim this weekend....then the race Sunday.

Well I am glad that I got to update this! Honestly, this is the first chance I have had with a computer where I could just sit down and type!!!!

Knitting time

I have decided to take up knitting. I can crochet....but I feel like the next step is to learn how to knit. I have my first lesson this morning...and got up super early because I am soooo excited!

Finally found a house! It is sooooo cute...will have to add pics soon. Three bedroom, two bath, bonus room above the garage....and the best part is....a fenced in yard for Slugger!!! It is in Pleasant View, which is on the north side of Nashville. It will be perfect because the drive from where I WAS going to live to my new work was going to be 58 minutes! Now, it have been cut down to 39 minutes! Not too shabby!

Tonight we are going to see Eclipse. We actually have tickets for Twilight and New Moon first. That is going to be a long night, but what the heck....it will be fun!

Having to do my laundry at the laundry mat makes me realize that I change my clothes too many times throughout the day. I miss my washer and dryer and I cant wait to get into that house!

One of my best friends, Miss Ashley Gann, is getting married in less than two weeks! I am soooo excited to be in her wedding, and I am glad she is going to be in mine. Now I just have to choose a date!! July 9, 2011 OR in March during spring break. Not sure....

I will try to not make it so far between updates this time. :)

Busy days

So, since my last post soooo many things have happened! First, let me just say that the bear in the smokies that me and many others tried to save was put down. That was a very sad day. However, we can only hope that now this will bring more awareness to the visitors of the park to not feed these animals. Your stupid picture is going to kill them. Ughhhh

I live in NASHVILLE!!! Well, to be exact, I am homeless right now. lol n And I was homeless last summer too. I am in the process of finding a house to live in right now. Somewhere in north nashville. We are having a blast here so far!

I went to nthe Indy 500....it was SO DANG HOT! We had to leave early because I was getting sick! I mean, I NEVER leave races early....but I was just way tooo hot! It was 96 and sunny. Last night we went to the Federated Auto Parts 300.....AKA the Nationwide race at Nashville Superspeedway. We got to meet 27 drivers.....it was sooo much fun! The track is really nice and it wasnt too croweded.

So I am really enjoying my break. I have been to Indiana, saw all my family, hung out with Brittai, hung out in Nashville....its just been great. On Tuesday I am heading back home home...like Del Rio home! Well, I may make a pit stop and spend the night with Miss Ashley Gann (soon to be Mrs. Ashley Hess). THen I am going to spend the rest of the week at home. We always do the best stuff at home. We play retarded games like "The Music Game" and "Gymnastics". lol We sing karaoke and stuff like that. The World Cup starts Friday....so I WILL be watching that. I am going for GERMANY! That is my home land...and...well....Im sorry but the USA isnt going to make it very far...they play England on Saturday and will probably lose.

The Nashville Outlaws have their first home game on Tuesday! COME OUT AND SEE A GAME! We had Nascar drivers asking us about going to a game yesterday...they saw our shirts and hats. I really think it is going to be a successful season.

Please Help!!

So, this weekend I heard a story about something that happened in Gatlinburg, Tn at the park. A tourist approached a black bear in order to take a close up picture of her. When he got too close, the bear bit him on the foot. It required NO medical attention. Parks rules state that any bear that bites a human must be put down. THIS IS INSANE! This bear wieghs 60lbs!!! Less than a large dog!!!!!!!! The tourist should not have come so close to the bear...I mean, this is COMMON SENSE! This issue has really been on my heart since then. I am trying to get as many people against this as possible. We have finally gotten the media involved...and the AP has caught on. There are sooo many different options for this bear. This bear should not have the die for the stupidity of a human. Anyways, this is the link to join the facebook page.

Back to the old days....

I miss Michael. We dated long distance for 2 years before we finally got to live in the same place. Now he is gone....but I will follow soon! We would talk on the phone ALL THE TIME when we lived apart. I was talking on the phone about 3000 minutes a month. Now I am burning up my phone again. Michael and I are sitting on the phone, not talking, but just being with eachother. We just like to know that the other person can hear us.

I WILL find a job! I am Ashley Hough dang it! I MAKE things happen. I have never been one to sit around and watch the world go by (ok maybe on the weekends). These schools need a good teacher, and I want to be that good teacher!!!!!!

The packing process has started. :( YUCKO! I did a little bit last night, and a lot tonight. But, I still have ALOT to do tomorrow...and Thursday....and Friday...and then move it all Saturday morning. Then I will have to come by and clean it all next week. Just ready to get out of here already!

Only 4 more days of school. These last few school days have gone by SOOOO SLOOOOOW! I have packed all of my personal belongings up. Now I just have to start packing up the other junk. Another teacher is moving into my room next year. I hope that she is ready for the hottest room in the building! It is always like the surface of the sun in my room. Not to mention it is smelly! I was reflecting today on how this year went as compared to last year, or my first year of teaching. Last year was amazing! I LOVED my job, by children, coming to school everyday. This year, not so much. And there are many reasons for this. But I will bite my tongue. :)

I am on the phone with Michael now. I guess I will go talk to him now instead of typing!

Tennessee bound...

Well, it is official. Michael has moved to Tennessee. And I am here...without him...in HIS state! Only 9 more days of school and then I will see him!! He is going to do such a great job!

Went in Hudsons of Laurel tonight...NOT impressed. Everything there is so junky to me. I really like the Hudsons in Hattiesburg better! Especially when they have Coach purses!

I am now at FIVE! It is still a secret!!!

I went to Sonic today because the last time I was there I got a coupon for a free Route 44 drink. I ordered my drink and the girl brought it out. She told me to keep the coupon so I can use it again! Right on!

The rubbermaid containers are still sitting in the living room staring at me. :)

I am in need of a new purse! I really do not have the money though. My goal is to have a good chunk of change in savings by the end of summer. But......I want a new purse!

I miss Michael already....awww...I am pathetic!

I do not enjoy The Hills. I do, however, enjoy watching True Life.

Hello Monday

Here is my philosophy on moving:

I will be moving at the end of the month. And, this will be the EIGHTH MOVE for me in FIVE YEARS! I have seven rubbermaid containers in my car. They are not in my apartment yet because I refuse to start packing yet. You lose things when you start packing. And it seems to get really messy when you start to pack also. Anyways, ok the first thing I always do is pack ALL pictures, cutesy wall hangings, stuff like that. Everything off the walls. When the walls are bare, it starts to hit you. Next, get all nick nacks(is that even how you spell nick nacks?) and pack them in a box together. All breakable/treasured items must have their own box labeled, ONLY ASHLEY MAY TOUCH! You need to keep this stuff together because the next place I move, I will need this stuff to make me feel at home. Take apart any furniture that you can and tape all the pieces together. Put all nails and washers in a baggy and tape it to the furiture also. Next is the most dreaded area......the kitchen! AHHH I HATE packing the kitchen. It is the worst for two reasons. 1. I have every cooking utensil known to man and it all takes up space. 2. How do you pack a crockpot? The kitchen holds the most akwards items...if you put a crockpot in a rubbermaid container, then half of your container is gone. If you leave it out, it may break. AHHH packing sucks!

I am at lucky break number 4 right now! It is a secret, but when I find out, I shall let eveyone know!

Welcome to me!

I know, I know. Jump on the bandwagon why don't cha? Ok, I think I will. I have started about 34934937 blogs lately, never follow through though. With so many changes going on right now for EVERYONE, I thought that this would be an awesome way to keep in touch!

So, what is going on here? Well, Michael (my fabulous fiance) moves to Nashvegas on Tuesday. How messed up is it that my love will be moving to my state, while I am stuck here in his? He will be starting his dream job--working for a baseball team. I know he is excited, but I really feel like I am move excited then anyone. We LOLOLOLOVE Nashville. I am a Nashville kind of girl....he is a Nashville kind of boy. You know...just makes sense.

So, I am a planner. I FLIP OUT if I can not plan ahead for something. Well, this summer I am clueless as to what I am doing. I usually have my entire summer mapped out....go to Indiana for this many weeks....make a quick stop in Tennessee....be here for this, there for that. This summer is going to be chaos. I do know that I have to be in Tennessee on July 10th for Miss Ashley Gann's wedding (bridesmaid here!!!!) Lets see....oh, and I have to be in Indiana for Memorial Day and the end of July for races at Indy. And then there is my Chicago trip with my bestest. Other then that, I am going to be a roamer. I am going to start curling classes this summer too. Okay, maybe I do have it mapped out...it is just not on paper yet. :)
